India were handed a heavy defeat by United States of America(USA) in the AIFF Youth Cup 2016 played at the Tilak Maidan, Vasco, Goa on Thursday, 19th May 2016. William Franklin scored a brace with Chandler Vincent and Kevin Roberto scoring a goal each. India played on par with USA in the first quarter of the game but the first goal opened the floodgates. As the game progress, USA changed their strategy to wing play which changed the game on its head. With Indian full-backs unable to cope up with the pacy and tricky wingers of the visitors attacks kept flooding in from wide. Andrew James was a live wire for the visitors. The attacks were so frantic that William Franklin could have had his hat-trick within the first half itself. Though Indian front-line also had their share of chances but USA's defense was a better outfit their counterparts and were equally supported by a well organized midfield.

South Korea: Kim Taehwan(27th), Joung Sungjune(58th)
In another game of AIFF Youth Cup 2016 on Thursday, South Korea and Tanzania played out an exciting 2-2 draw. Asad Ali Juma had given Tanzania the lead in the 12th minute before Kim Taehwan equalized 15 minutes later. Maulid Lembe gave Tanzania a late equalizer after Tanzania's Maulid Lembe gave his side the lead from a spot-kick in the 58th minute.
India play their final game against South Korea on 23rd May, while USA face the same opponents on 21st May. Tanzania will be action against Malaysia on 21st May 2016.
