Mohun Bagan's title hope further took a deep blow as they failed to hold on to their lead to come out with just a point against DSK Shivajians FC at home in the Hero i-League clash. Cornell Glen gave Mariners the much-needed lead in the 26th minute capitalizing on a rebound in the 26th minute before Spanish winger Juan Quero struck a quick brace. Mohun Bagan however did not bow down and two quick goals gave them the lead before going into the lemon break. First it was Cornell Glen who outfoxed Sandesh Jhingan to fire it past Subrata Paul, followed by Sony Norde's smart footwork to breeze past three defenders to slot the ball home. Mohun Bagan switched off their attacking mode which proved costly as an unmarked DSK Shivajians skipper Asier Dipanda headed the ball past a hapless Debjit from a Israil Gurung cross. The draw leaves Mohun Bagan with 27 points with just a game left, against Bengaluru FC with the latter having 26 points and having the luxury of three games in their kitty. Arch rivals East Bengal, too have three games left with 24 points.
