Toyota - where innovation prevails

Founded in 1937, Toyota is one of the world's largest and most reputed automobile brands. It is the world's first automobile company to produce 10 million vehicles per year.

Toyota has given its tremendous share of innovation to the automobile industry. The likes of Toyota Pirus, introduced in 1997, made Toyota the first to commercially mass-produce and sell Hybrid electric vehicles. Toyota began the world’s first limited sale in Japan and the US of the “Toyota FCHV” as an ideal vehicle, in order to make "Sustainable Mobility" a reality. Apart from Hybrid electric vehicles, Toyota always pushed the technological barriers of the automobile industry with constant developments in Plug-in hybrids, All electric vehicles and Hydrogen fuel cells.


In terms of new technologies, one of the first mass-produced hybrid gasoline-electric vehicles was produced by Toyota which has been a huge hit selling around 2 million unites globally. Advanced Parking Guidance System(APGS) was Toyota's first automated parking system developed in 2004.

In order to optimize global manufacturing and the supply systems for pickup trucks and multipurpose vehicles, Toyota launched Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle project (IIMV). Apart from being an indurstry leader in manufacturing and production, Toyota has set the benchmark in creating environment friendly vehicles, with the introduction of RAV4 EV and Toyota Pirus.
