We are back again with our statistical discussion of Airtel i-League after we have successfully compiled the stats for Round 1 a week earlier.
In Airtel i-League Round 2, a total of 9 goals were scored 5 less than round 1 but the good news this time is that 5 out of the 9 goals were scored by Indians which shows a commendable increment on the share of the goals scored by Indians with regards to the total goals scored.
Lets have a look how the teams have contributed to these goals(including round 1):

With 5 goals in two games, United SC are sitting at the top while new entrants Bengaluru FC are in a surprising second position. Pune FC and Shillong FC complete the top four with 3 goals each to their name after the goal-less draw at Shillong.
As a league, i-League averages 2.09 goals per game, United SC despite all the "off-field" concerns have a 2.5 goals per game ratio in terms of scoring, while Bengaluru FC after their two home games have 2 goals per game scoring ratio.
On the defensive side, Rangdajied United FC, despite their creditable comeback against Dempo SC have a defensive concern on their hands leaking 5 goals in two matches while Dempo SC(4 goals) and Sporting Clube de Goa(4 goals) have also got their strategies to fix.
Home vs Away Goal:

Amount of Goals scored by Away Team: 11
This part of the statistics have also seen a greater difference than Round 1 as only 2 goals were scored by travelling team this time around.

Raul Fabiani(Pune FC), Ranti Partins(USC), Eric Brown(USC), Cornell Glenn(SLFC) and Sean Rooney(BFC) are all sharing the top spot with 2 goals each to their name.

This make us realize how the Indian have contributed to total number of goals each time around.
