i-League Transfers: Shillong Lajong FC sign Brazilian forward Uilliams Bomfin

Shillong Lajong FC have signed 24 year old Brazilian forward Uilliams Bomfin Souza Silva from  J-League 2 side Sports Club Sagamihara for the season 2013-14 as a replacement for Charles Edoa whose deal fell through because of visa and transfer clearance problems. Uilliams Bomfin would be the first ever Brazilian player to play for the north-eastern club.

Uilliams was quoted saying to Shillong Lajong FC official website,“I look forward to my future with Shillong Lajong and I believe that I can make a real contribution to the team’s efforts to win trophies in the future”

"We are very pleased to have Uilliams with us this season as he is a player that can do very well for us. The Brazilian has got some wonderful talent with him having experienced professional football in Brazil as well as Japan. With his positive attributes and quality, we believe he can help the club achieve success this season." said Mr.Habamutlang Lyngdoh, the General Manager of Shillong Lajong FC.
