Mohun Bagan defeated Sheffield FC(Worlds First ever football club) 1-0 to reach the finals of Mohammedan's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations Cup here at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata. The match was even contested with more organised attacks coming from Mohun Bagan. After the Half Time whistle the score was tied at 0-0. Sheffield FC got a penalty on 66h minute which they failed to convert as Ashley's shot was well saved by Sangram Mukherjee. The winning goal came at as late as 1st minute of injury time when Snehasis's brilliant corner was deflected cleverly to the goal by Ashim Biswas.
Mohun Bagan will play the winners of second semifinal between East Bengal and Mohammedan.
