East Bengal moved to second position in the Hero i-League 2015-16 ladder following a 1-0 victory over DSK Shivajians FC. Ranti Martins scored the only goal of the match in the 30th minute after following up on a Mohammad Rafique shot which bounced off the cross bar. East Bengal were mostly dominant but could not increase the scoreline. DSK Shivajians FC had their best chance to steal a point in the 70th minute when Israil Gurung's shot deflected off Bello Rasaq and struck the woodwork, with goalkeeper Rehenesh well beaten.
