Mumbai FC held off the title contenders Bengaluru FC in the Hero i-League 2015-16 clash played at The Cooperage on Wednesday, 27th January 2016. Khalid Jamil's team outfoxed Ashley Westwood's side by a scoreline of 2-0 with first half goals from Izumi Arata(5th Min) and Minchol Son(11th Min) proving enough for the Mumbai outfit. While Izumi Arata's opener was from a goalmouth melee, Minchol Son's goal was a real treat driving the ball from 40 yards after earning the possession from a Bengaluru FC defender. The win puts a dent in Bengaluru FC's perfect start. Bengaluru FC are still at the top of the table while Mumbai FC are now in joint second place with East Bengal.
