Eight representatives from State Associations from the North Zone attended the Seminar.

“The Seminar aimed in educating the State Associations as to how the Registration process should work,” Rajan told www.the-aiff.com. “The documentations required for Registrations as to how the Transfers need to be controlled electronically and the mandatory documents required for the Transfers and Registration of Players were highlighted in the Seminar,” he added.

The Seminar was the first of the five Seminars which are to be conducted by AIFF all over the Country. “We are following this up with a Seminar in Cochin followed by one each in Goa, Shillong and Kolkata,” Rajan informed. “All the participants would be from the State Associations who would educate the Club representatives in the future.”

“AIFF is keen on creating a Centralised database of all Players where the career history of the Player (for the past ten Years) will be on display. The system is being implemented to curb age fraud and to make domestic Transfers more systematic and foolproof,” Rajan stated.

Mr. Surinder Singh, a participant representing Chandigarh Football Association felt the “initiative is a positive step.”

“It’s imperative to have an online Registration system. It will help the Clubs in verification of the Player’s age, history. Every Player would be provided an unique ID which would eradicate all malpractices involved in the system,” Singh, an A-Licence Holder Coach who has Coached age-group National Teams, pronounced.
