Two new Clubs in i-League 2013-14

After the AIFF Executive committee meeting got over the Mohun Bagan fans breathed a sigh of relief as the ban imposed on them got lifted with the cost of Rs. 2 Crore and taking away all the points the earned. Meanwhile there were some other decisions which were taken alongside that:

The committee decided to bid for two new clubs for i-League 2013-14 edition.

Several recent reports have suggested that it might be the two Maharashtra based clubs DSK Shivajians and Dodsal FC.

  • It was also decided to form a task-force for future interaction with IMG-R on re-structuring of the I-League, development of properties and other issues as per the MRA.
  • The U-20 I-League would be held in Jamshedpur at the facilities of the Tata Football Academy in association with the Jharkhand Football Association.
