India Women's Team 1-0 Netherlands XI
India: Ashalata Devi(15th)
Indian Women's National team defeated the visiting team from Netherland 1-0 at the Father Agnel Sports Complex in Navi Mumbai on Sunday (20th January). The team got applause and lots of cheers not only from the 4000 crowd present at the stadium but also from all over India. For India the lone goal was scored by Ashalata Devi in the 15th minute, who was later adjudged the Man of the Match. The entire team was ecstatic with the victory and one can only hope that brighter days are yet to come with all the focus shifting on the women's team after this glory.
