Here is what he has to say about Indian Football....
Though I am following India Football for last 1 year, its been a fruitful experience and I am ready to continue the pursuit. Football is one of india's most popular sports after the cricket...It a very popular game in the world.. Its my fav sports.. Someday I would like to see Indian football team in the FIFA World Cup.. Its dominance in India can be categorized to the two states Bengal and Goa. In India football is played in almost every school. The standard of Indian football (compared globally) is poor. According to FIFA rankings, the national team is ranked 146th place in the world as of april 2011, and is said to struggle to qualify for both the World cup and the Asian cup. Part of this has been put down to the lack of opportunities for proper training and development of players in the country. India also has it own football league, which is called I-league. With the conclusion of this years i-League we saw many young faces making their mark in the national arena and some of them have also got a ticket to the national team under the watchful eyes of our coach Armando Colaco. I hope that Indian Football reaches new heights...
