Kolkata based Pailan Group took over the young squad of Indian Arrows, which finished at a respectable 9th position in its very first season in the 14 team i-League. The team thus becomes the fourth team from kolkata participating in next seasons i-League after two Kolkata giants East Bengal and Mohun Bagan, followed by Chirag United. This is a big step forward for the young team as establishing itself as a separate entity which is a must for fulfilling the AFC Club Licensing Criteria.
However, it will be interesting to see how the football crazy city will respond in terms of attendance. Only the two Kolkata giants East Bengal and Mohun Bagan has been able to grab a major share of the attendance. AIFF will however continue to provide the necessary support to the young side which includes drafting in new players.
