AFC Cup: Dempo defeated Al-Ansar to enter round of 16

Dempo played a good game to outclass their Lebanese counterpart Al-Ansar 2-1 in the AFC Cup game played today at the Balewadi Sports Complex Pune. Dempo have more or less registered their place in the final 16 i.e. the knockout stages as Al-Tilal is heavily demolished by Nasaf in another game. The game went to the wire with fantastic end to end stuff. For Dempo the scorers were Ranti Martins(40') and Beto(20'). Al-Ansar scored their only goal in the 93rd minute. Dempo played with 10 men for most of the time in the second half with Indian International Defender Mahesh Gawli getting red card after being booked twice.

Congrats Dempo.
