| India to face Laos in the AFC Asia Cup 2019 Qualifiers Play-off |
Team India will face Laos in the AFC Asia Cup 2019 qualifiers play-off. The draw was held in Kuala Lampur on Thursday, 7th April 2016. India will play the home leg of the two-legged tie on June 2 while the away fixture is scheduled to take place on 7th June, 2016.
The winner will advance to the final qualifiers for the AFC Asia Cup UAE 2019. 12 teams have qualified directly for the Asia Cup 2019 while 24 teams will battle it out for the remaining 12 slots.
Quoting on the draw Stephen Constantine said,"It is a tricky draw. Laos are never to be underestimated. They have been in a very difficult group in the (Preliminary Round 2) and gave good account of themselves considering the Teams they faced,” he said. “We will have to be at our best."
