Indian International Goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu became the first Indian to captain an European side when he captained the Stabaek FC reserves side to a fine 2-0 victory over FC Senja. Stabaek FC senior team will feature in Europa League qualifiers and Gurpreet will surely have an eye on that.
Gurpreet later tweeted:
Proud to become the first Indian to captain a European team, it's not about awards it's about achievements. #LeavingNoStoneUnturned— Gurpreet Singh (@GurpreetGK) April 26, 2016
We congratulate Gurpreet Singh Sandhu for the new achievement and wish him a even brighter future ahead.
