Indian Women's Team thrash Sri Lanka 5-0
Indian Women's Team defeated Sri Lanka 5-0 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the 2016 South Asian Games. Dangemi Grace scored a brace, Sasmita Malik and Kamala Devi scored a goal each while Sri Lanka scored an own goal as the Indian eves thrashed the Sri Lankan outfits.

Following a corner from Susmita Malik, Sri Lankan defence line headed the ball into their own net in the 24th minute to give India the lead. Dangmei Grace's effort near the half-time whistle to gave India a two goal cushion. In the 58th minute, Dangmei Grace scored her second from outside the box. Kamala Devi tapped home after Grace turned provider in the 60th minute. The scoreline read 5-0 in the 73rd minute, with Susmita Malik coverting from the spot after Kamala Devi was fouled inside the box.

Indian eves next meet Nepal in the 11th February 2016.

India starting XI against Sri Lanka: Aditi Chauhan (GK); Umapati Devi, Ashalata Devi, Manisa Panna, Supriya Routray; Premi Devi (86’ – Sangita Basfore), Bembem Devi (C), Dangmei Grace, Sasmita Malik, Prameshwori Devi (59’ – Sanju), Kamala Devi (76’ – Bala Devi).
