East Bengal moved to second position in the Hero i-League 2015-16 table with a home win against Aizawl, played at the Barasat Stadium, Kolkata. East Bengal scored both of their goals in the second half after a goalless opening 45 minutes. Bikash Jairu scored the opener from a low cross by Joaquim Abhrances which was acrobatically headed into the net by Jairu. Two minutes later, East Bengal put the game to bed when former PSG and French International Bernard Mendy's headed found the back of the net.
