AIFF allows disqualified teams to participate in Sub Junior Championship |
After the announcement by the All India Football Federation(AIFF) to disqualify four teams fielding over-aged players in the Sub Junior National Football Championship 2015-16, the Federation have re-evaluated their decision. The four disqualified Teams – Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chandigarh and Punjab will be allowed to play in the Sub Junior National Football Championship 2015-16 with players who are eligible but with a constraint that
they wont be awarded any points for their fixtures in the Tournament. AIFF official press release said that the decision was taken with regards to the right age Players as they should have a chance to play and participate in the scouting process for the AIFF Academy at Imphal.
