Shillong Lajong FC announce squad for Hero i-League 2015-16

Shillong Lajong FC announced their squad for Hero i-League 2015-16 season.

The North-East club have included the academy graduates Hardy Cliff Nongbri, Phurba Lachenpa, Rakesh Pradhan and Samuel Lalmuanpuia in the squad. Aibankupar Dohling of Shillong, Milan Basumatary of Assam and Chinglensana Konsham Singh of Manipur are three new young Indian signings.

Shillong Lajong FC coach Thangboi Singto said about the team, "Overall and including the foreigners we are a very young team. It is a good mixture of experienced players in important positions along with talented Indian young local players in every position.The bench strength is much stronger and there is a cohesive unit and great team spirit. We need to believe that we can finish the league at the top half and definitely aim to achieve nothing less than top 3. But for that to happen we need to be much stronger this season defensively as a team."
