Hero i-League 2015-16 Results: 9th January 2016

Defending champions Mohun Bagan and last year's runnsers up Bengaluru FC secured 3 points in their respective openers. 

Mohun Bagan's new recruit Cornell Glen scored a brace while Balwant Singh scored the third goal. Pritam Kotal's heavy touch led to Aizawl FC's only goal in their debut season in i-League.

Bengaluru FC got a hard-fought away victory over Salgaocar FC with goals from CK Vineeth and Sunil Chhetri. Darryl Duffy scored the only goal for Salgaocar FC from the spot.

Salgaocar FC 1-2 Bengaluru FC

SAL: Darryl Duffy (Penalty 41st)

BFC: CK Vineeth (5th - Assist Kim Song Young), Sunil Chhetri(61st - Direct Free Kick)
