Seikhohao Tuboi, was once one of the promising names of Indian Football when he showed his capabilities as a lethal striker in the Federation Cup 2009 which was after he contributed in Shillong Lajong FC's promotion to the i-League. His goal overhead kick against Dempo SC is still remembered by most Indian football fans in the Federation Cup 2009. The striker's name faded away slowly because of a prolonged injury which saw his name just restricted to the clubs registration list of players. A well structured and intensive health regime by the medical team of the North-Eastern club made it possible for the 24 year old to gain full-fitness and now he has renewed his contract for the upcoming season.

“I cannot wait to get back on the field and start scoring goals again” said an enthusiastic Tuboi to the club's official website. Tuboi has joined practice with the first team and he would add further depth to their forward line.
