i-League Transfers: Beto signs for Dempo SC

Beto back to Dempo SC

Brazilian midfield maestro Roberto Mendes Silva, commonly known as Beto, has rejoined his former team Dempo SC after winning the i-League with Churchill Brothers SC in this years i-League(2012-13). The Brazilian played a key part towards the success for Churchill Brothers SC's triumph. Beto has been instrumental in Dempo SC's success in the i-League playing for them for around a period of 5 years. The explosive central midfielder has been one of the best foreigners playing their trade in India in past couple of years and definitely the best midfielder in recent times. Dempo SC had struggled without him last season and would hope that his addition would bring some stability to their midfield.


Along with Beto, several other players have also signed on the dotted line; those include Shubhasis Roy Choudhary (GK), Laximikant Kattimani (GK), Godwin Franco, Clifford Miranda, Debarata Roy & ex-Mumbai FC midfielder Gabriel Fernandes.
