A-League side Wellington Phoenix FC to play in India |
New Zealand based A-League side Wellington Phoenix are scheduled to play in a exhibition tournament in the North Eastern Part of the country as a part of their pre-season preparations. i-League side Shillong Lajong FC and United Sikkim FC will be the other two teams playing in the tournament. The tournament is organised by JPR Events and has been given the name - North East Lajong Super Series. The tournament will kick off on Auguest 24th while the finals will be played on 1st September. Wellington Phoenix will play their first match against United Sikkim FC on 24th August.
