FIFA Course for Elite Referees kicks off in Madurai


A FIFA/MA Course for India’s Elite Referees kicked-off in Madurai on Tuesday (July 11). The course aims to train the top Indian referees and update them with the latest methodology for value enhancement.

25 I-League Referees, along with 5 Women Referees, 4 Technical Instructors and 3 Fitness Instructors are attending the Course. The participants will undergo the five-day event through classroom and ground exercises.

Mr. Subkhiddin Mohd. Salleh, FIFA Instructor from Malaysia who was also a Match Official match in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and Mr. Ganesan, FIFA Fitness Instructor from Singapore, stay the Course Instructors.

Chief Guest Mr. Seeni Mohaideen, President, Tamil Nadu FA declared the Course open in presence of Mr. M Muhiseen Ariff, FIFA Refereeing Development Officer.

Mr. Muhiseen praised the development undertaken by All India Football Federation for the development of referees in the country. The younger lot of referees and instructors are being groomed in the right manner, he felt.
