AFC U22 Championship Qualifiers: India face Oman in their final match

India U22 squad with support staffs, Arthur Papas, Rob Baan and Wim Koevermans

India U22 will face Oman in their final group match of AFC U22 Championship Qualifiers. India need no less than a win to have any chance of making it to the main phase of the tournament. While a draw or a loss will close the gates for qualification, a win does not also guarantee a place in the final phase and other results will decide India's fate. India is currently placed third alongside Oman with 7 points each but with a better goal difference. Iraq and UAE will play at Royal Oman Police Stadium at the same time when India will be going head to head against Oman at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex. If India manages to win, then a win for Iraq will see India and Iraq going through to the main phase of the tournament, while a draw in that match will mean Iraq and UAE will qualify.

INDIA Starting XI against Oman:

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu (Captain); Vishal Kumar, Prathamesh Maulinkar, Souvik Ghosh, Pritam Kotal; Milan Singh, Romeo Fernandes, Pranay Halder, Alwyn George, Lalrindika Ralte, Manandeep Singh.

The match will kick-off at 9:30 PM IST at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.
