Luciano Narsingh approached by Rob Baan to play for India?

Luciano Narsingh, Netherland, Player of Indian Origin(PIO)

According to a Bengali News Channel, Indian origin player Luciano Narsingh who is in the Dutch squad for the Euro 2012 is learnt to have been approached by Indian National Football Team's technical director Rob Baan in an attempt to make him play for Indian National Team. Luciano Narsingh plays for Eredivisie side SC Heerenveen in Holland. It looks highly unlikely that any such thing could take place at the first place and more so because Luciano Narsingh is already in the reckoning for a place in the Dutch National Team. FIFA rules clearly state that, if a player represents a nation in any competitive event at senior level ("A" International Level) then he is ineligible to represent any other association.

So, if Narsingh makes any appearance in the EURO 2012 for the Dutch team, then he will be ineligible to represent India.

The player himself is linked with several top European clubs which includes the likes of English Premier League club Fulham FC.

The authenticity of the news is highly questionable, but lets wait and watch.
