India U-16 narrowly loose out to USA U-17 team

Indian U-16 proved to be a rigid unit and gave a tough fight to the United States U-17 National team in a practice match. India’s U-16 Team and USA U-17 National Team both practice at the same premises at the IMG Academy.

Coach Bitan Singh lauded the boys for putting up a brave fight. “The boys played well. The USA U-17 boys are a class act. The match will only add to the confidence of our wards,” he said.

The boys based at the IMG Academy will join the U-16 preparatory camp for the AFC U-16 Final Phase under the watchful eyes of Mr. Colm Toal which kicks-off in Goa from June 1, 2012. The IGM boys would be joining the home-based boys.

India have been clubbed with Uzbekistan, China and Syria in the final phase.
