Rangers FC interested in Sunil Chhetri and Jeje Lalpekhlua |
According to "Daily Record", two of the most prominent forward of Indian Football,
Sunil Chhetri(Mohun Bagan) and Jeje Lalpekhlua(Pune FC) are being watched by Scottish Premier League side Rangers FC and they are expected to make a move on either or both of them when the next transfer window opens in January. Both strikers, Sunil Chhetri and Jeje Lalpekhlua are said to be considered for a trial later this month at Glasgow under the vigilance of Ally McCoist, Manager, Rangers FC.

Sunil Chhetri had earlier gathered interest of many top clubs which includes Celtic FC, Queens Park Rangers, Coventry City, Sporting Kansas. He even signed a contract with Queens Park Rangers (currently playing in English Premier League) but his move fell out due to the denial of work-Permit by the UK government. Later, he was snapped up by MLS(Major League Soccer) side Sporting Kansas(then known as Kansas City Wizards). He then returned to India to play for Prayag Untied. Now he is playing for Mohun Bagan.

Jeje Lalpekhlua, 20 who currently plays for Pune FC has had a fair bit of attention gathered towards him after his arrival at the International arena scoring 5 goals in his 8 appearances. Jeje has also been
nominated by Sports Illustrated's Top 10 Asian Players who can play in Europe.
