World Cup Qualifier: India vs UAE return Leg Preview

India vs UAE

First leg score: UAE 3-0 India
Venue: Dr. Ambedkar Stadium, Delhi
Match Time: 19:00 IST (7 PM), 28th July

Its a chance to retrieve some pride for the nation which was hard done by some poor referring at the 1st leg which ultimately led India facing a 3 goal deficit and more importantly loosing one of their star player, Subrata Paul for the home leg. Despite that, India are willing to go all out against the visiting UAE side who are overwhelming favourites to win the tie.

The 153rd ranked nation gained praises for their robust defending after being reduced to 9 men in only the 22nd minute of the game. The team is all set to take the challenge yet again and this time they have the home advantage in their hands when they play it out at their 'Fortress' - Dr. Ambedkar Stadium, Delhi. Coach Armando Colaco believes that there is a chance that they have a chance to overturn the three goal deficit but for that to happen his boys will have to perform out of their skins.

Indian Coach Armando Colaco insisted that they could have come out of the away leg with a positive result if the Qatari referee Banjar Al Dosari had not made those controversial decisions against them. He was also quoted saying to TOI that Gulf referees should not be allowed to officiate matches which involves gulf countries.
Karanjit Singh and Clifford Miranda will Start

With Debabrata Roy out of the second leg, Armando Colaco could make some changes to the squad. Harmanjot Khabra and Sandip Nandy will replace Debabrata roy and Subrata Paul in the squad whereas Karanjit Singh will start under the bars and Clifford Miranda will start in Left Half position.

Here is How India's Starting Line-up looks:

Goalkeeper: Karanjit Singh
Defenders: Samir Naik, Gourmangi Singh, Raju Gaikwad, Rahim Nabi
Midfielders: Steven Dias, Mehtab Hossain, Climax Lawrence(Cpt.), Clifford Miranda
Forwards: Sunil Chhetri & Jeje Lalpeklua

Lets hope that Indian players make themselves and the country proud specially after what happened in the away leg UAE.
