Chirag United wins Durand Cup

Chirag United wins their maiden Durand Cup after defeating JCT 1-0. The Goal came from Mohammed Rafiq, the same guy who scored against East Bengal.

The goal came through a long ball which was nicely trapped by Joshimar, who did very well to outfox his marker(Benzamin of JCT) and passed it to the young Rafiq, who then hit a sweet left footer which went past the JCT custodian on Goal.

For Chirag, this tournament has been quite a ride to remember. Their strength was their Indian players who did a tremendous job. Players like Denson Devadas, Mohammed Rafiq were outstanding throughout the tournament. whereas their foreign recruits were also performing in tandem.
