Mohun Bagan played a 1-1 draw against Club Valencia in the first leg of the AFC Cup 2017 South Zone play-offs played at the National Stadium, Male, Maldives on Tuesday. Mohun Bagan's in-form Scotish forward Darryl Duffy scored the crucial away goal in the 6th minute after being smartly fed by Prabir Das. Godfrey West Omodu scored the equalizer from the spot for the home side in the 71st minute.

The second leg will be played at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium on 28th February 2017.
