Delhi Dynamos FC defeated Chennaiyin FC 3-1 in the Hero Indian Super League(ISL) 2016 match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Thursday, 7th October 2016. The first goal of the game came in the 26th minute when Mercelinho converted from the spot after Milan Singh was brought down inside the box. Dudu equalized just six minutes later when he ran past the Delhi defence and before applying a neat finish. Delhi however took only two minutes to restore their one goal lead as Mercelinho scored his second goal of the day. The game was sealed in Delhi's favor six minutes before the full time through Badara's header from Kean Lewis delivery.
