The AFC Cup 2016 quarterfinal clash between Bengaluru FC and Tampines Rovers will be played behind closed doors, the club announced in an official press release on Tuesday.

The announcement comes following a troublesome atmosphere in the Garden City in the past few 24 hours and the decision was taken following rounds of discussion with the Bengaluru Police, AIFF and AFC.

The match is scheduled to take place tomorrow, 14th September 2016 at the Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru with the kick-off time being rescheduled to 4 PM IST.

The away leg is slated to take place on 21st September 2016 at the Jalan Besar Stadium, Singapore.
