Uvena Fernandes becomes the first ever Woman Referee selected to officiate in a FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup which is slated to take place in Jordan from 30th September till 21st October 2016.

Apart from Subroto Cup 2015 and different Women's competitions across the country Uvena has officiated Asian Games 2014 Women’s Football matches as Assistant Referee.

After K Shankar who was an Assistant Referee in 2002 World Cup held in Japan and Korea, Uvena Fernandes becomes the second referee from India to be handed the chance to officiate in a World Cup.
