India U-17 World Cup squad were beaten 2-0 by Norway U-16
Indian U-17 World Cup squad lost 0-2 against Norway U-16 team in a friendly fixture played in Norway on 29th June 2016. Physically the Norwegian team looked far superior and Indian colts found it hard to sustain the continuous pressure but Indian custodian stood firm and made some blinder saves to deny the hosts on numerous times.

With the Indian team defending rigidly, the scoreline remained 0-0 at half time. The young Indian team were dealt a huge blow when they were reduced to ten men after Sanjeev received his second yellow for deliberately handing the ball in the 54th minute. Soon after Norway took the lead from a attack down the right hand side. The second and final goal of the game came again from the right wing in the 80th minute as the Indian custodian could not stop a thumping effort from close range.
