Mohun Bagan progressed to the grand finale of Hero Federation Cup 2016 after a goalless draw in the second leg of the semi-finals against Shillong Lajong FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Shillong on Saturday. Mariners who already had a five goal lead from the first tie didn't need to risk too much going into the game. Despite Sanjoy Sen fielding a strong starting line-up the game didn't really came to life as neither of the two sides could break the deadlock.

Mohun Bagan will face the winners of the second semi-final tie between Sporting Goa and Mumbai FC, in the finals on 21st May 2016.
