The Kolkata Derby ended in a stalemate as Mohun Bagan and East Bengal played out a 1-1 draw.
Sanjoy Sen included Haiti International, Sony Norde in the starting lineup with Cornell Glen and Azharuddin Mullick playing upfront. As for East Bengal, Biswajit Bhattacharya made four changes from the last match as he fielded Saumik Dey, Rahul Bheke, Abhinash Ruidas and Mohammed Rafique.

Backed by a ferocious crowd the game started with some good attacking football but no real chances were created except for the two goals. Bikash Jairu's inch perfect pass found Ranti Martins who volleyed sweetly past Debjit Majumder. Mohun Bagan however did not give up as a set-piece led to the equalizer. Sony Norde played a wonderful ball in the box to be headed by in-form Cornell Glen, his fourth of the season for the Mariners in the Hero i-League 2015-16. Mohun Bagan were dominant in the final quarter of the match but could not get past TP Rehenesh, who made a crucial save to deny Glen the winner after the World Cupper's header was saved by the 22 year old Keralite.
