India face a stern task when they face Oman in the return leg of 2018 World Cup Preliminary Joint Qualification Preliminary Round 2. With four defeats from four games, India sits rock bottom of the group and Stephen Constantine's boys have a real tough task to get any points in the group when they face a strong Oman side who defeated them 2-1 in Bengaluru.

Indian captain Sunil Chhetri spoke about keeping the run of bad resuts away as he was quoted saying, "We aim to keep all the negatives away and not project it as a reason as to why we are weak."

Stephen Constine "It will be a very difficult match for us. Oman are one of the most underrated Teams and most importantly, they know to play Football."

Despite a total of 40 hours delay because of bad weather conditions in their way to Oman from Turkmenistan, Stephen Constaine was quick to ignore the problematic circumstances saying, "It’s not the best preparation as we go into the match, but again, it is what it is."

On the opponents Constantine said, "There are some Players in the Oman side who are really good. Over the years, Oman have stayed consistent and to me their result against Iran wasn’t surprising at all. We have respect for Oman but we are here to play and we will fight. We didn’t come here to lose. We don’t go anywhere to lose."

Despite the poor run of form Stephen Constantine's Team India saw a number of fresh faces. He said, "I have been here for seven games and am trying to build a Team for the next 5 years as it was necessary to induce new blood."

Midfielder Eugeneson Lyngdoh will miss out the match due to suspension.

The match is slated to kicks-off at IST 8PM on Tuesday, 13th October 2015.
