AFC U-19 Qualifiers: India play hosts Palestine |
The Indian U-19 National Team will play against hosts Palestine to kick-off their AFC U-19 Qualifying campaign for AFC U-19 Championship 2016, on 2nd October 2015 at the Faisal Al-Husseini Stadium in Al-Ram, Palestine. Team India is grouped alongside UAE, Afghanistan and Palestine in Group C.
Lee Johnson, the head coach of the India U-19 national team said, "We expect a tough and challenging atmosphere in the AFC U-19 Qualifiers."
Johnson further added, "Everyone here is participating to qualify for the next round and hence every Team we play will be tough and very challenging. We have first-hand knowledge of Afghanistan as we have defeated them before. However, we have utmost respect for our opponents and will not underestimate any Team. At the same time, we would give it our best shot and hopefully qualify."
India's first match against Palestine kicks off at 9:30 PM IST.
