India U-16 team made it to the finals of SAFF U-16 Championship 2015 held in Bangladesh. India U-16 defeated Nepal in the semi-finals of the tournament on Sunday, 16th August 2015, courtesy of a 20th minute strike from Rahim Ali.

Coming off a 2-1 defeat at the hands of hosts, Bangladesh in the final group stage encounter, Team India reorganized themselves to put up a solid show against neighbours Nepal. A perfectly weighted pass from Amay Avinash was converted expertly by Rahim Ali which proved to be the winner.
