NorthEast United FC have roped in Ivory Coast striker Boubacar Sanogo for the second edition of Hero Indian Super League(ISL).

Sanogo, 32, won the prestigious AFC Champions League(2002-03) title with UAE side Al-Ain FC. He then moved to Germany initially playing for 1. FC Kaiserslautern where his performances caught the eye of higher division sides in Germany, before being signed by Hamburger SV in 2006 where he could not replicate his performance.  Werder Bremen signed Boubacar Sanogo in 2006-07 season. The Ivory Coast International then had stints in France and also back to Germany. He last played for Al-Fujairah SC in UAE.
