Kerala was gifted its first FIFA Artificial Turf from FIFA's Win in India with India Project |
As a part of FIFA’s ‘Win in India with India’ Project, Kerala received its first ever FIFA Artificial Turf as Chief Minister Oomen Chandy inaugurated the artificial Football field of Ambedkar Stadium in Kochi, Kerala on Monday (August 10, 2015), in the presence of All India Football Federation General Secretary, Kushal Das and Kerala Football Association President, KMI Mather. Syncoctts International, an associate of Italian turf company Limonta Sport installed the artificial surface in Kochi.
"We must not waste any opportunity to organize tournaments and thereby bring greater attention to the game of Football", said the Chief Minister.
Furthermore, Kerala Blasters Football School, a part of Kerala Blasters development programme, held its first training session wherein thirty members participated in various Footballing activities.
