Boca Juniors Football School India to participate in Singa Cup Football Tournament 2015 in Singapore |
Singa Cup has grown tremendously over the last few years to become one of the leading youth football tournaments in the region. From 12 teams in the first year in 2012, the Singa Cup had 53 teams from seven different countries in 2015. This will be BJFSI second year in the Singa Cup after appearing last year.
Last year BJFSI took part in the Singa Cup and Dubai, giving international exposure to their academy players. BJFSI will be playing in Under 12 and 14 categories and the preparation is underway under direct supervision of Petros Sideris, Technical Director.
“We have started extensive preparation for the tournament with emphasis on technical and physical conditioning. We are sure teams will give a spirited performance against the best teams from South Asia & Australia. Regular match playing especially against international sides is the best way to improve your game. More importantly for kids at such a young age to get this exposure will get them better prepared for bigger matches. “said Petros Sideris, Technical Director.
Deckline Leitao, Director of Exercise Science, Vesoma will supervise the strength training of the teams.
