India: Amarjeet(Penalty 31st), Aniket(80th)

The Indian U-16 Colts, currently on an exposure trip to Germany, defeated FSV Frankfurt 2-0 on Wednesday (August 12, 2015) in Frankfurt, Germany.

This was the Indian colts’ sixth exposure match of their two month long exposure trip to Germany, from where they would touch Iranian shores to play in the AFC U-16 Qualifiers, which is slated to kick-off in Tabriz City, Iran.

The match was played for 80 minutes, with two halves of 40 minutes each.

The Indian contingent went into the half-time leading by a solitary goal, as Amarjeet slotted home a penalty in the 31st minute following a foul on Ninthoi.

Komal was awarded with a brilliant opportunity in the dying embers of the first half to double the lead for the Indian colts, but his chance went abegging.

Changing over, Head Coach of the Indian U-17 World Cup Squad Nicolai Adam shuffled his pack and introduced Aniket in place of Sanjeev in the 65th minute.

Aniket scored for the Indian contingent in the 80th minute of the match and doubled the lead which proved to be enough to scrape past the German opponents.

At the end of full-time the score-line read 2-0 in favor of the Indian colts.

The Indian U-16 Colts, currently preparing for the 2017 U-17 World Cup, had earlier recorded a tremendous 14-1 win over Rosenheim U-16 on August 08, 2015.
