India will play Nepal in International Friendly at the Balewadi Sports Complex, Pune on 31st August 2015. It will be the first time Nepal will be playing after the chaotic Earthquakes which shook the country to its roots. The friendly will act as preparation for the World Cup Qualifiers against Iran which is slated to take place on September 8th, 2015 in Bengaluru.

This is the first time Nepal would be playing an International friendly after the earthquake and the move by the All India Football Federation(AIFF) was appreciated by FIFA as Dr. Shaji Prabhakaran, FIFA Regional Development Officer for South and Central Asia said, "I need to laud All India Football Federation for being the first Nation to bring Football back into the veins of the Nepalese people."

"The Players would be coming after a layoff and the match would help us judge them ahead of our tough challenge against Iran which is slated on September 8," said the Indian National Team Head Coach Stephen Constantine.

Constantine further added, "Nepal are a tough opposition as was on display in Guwahati and Kathmandu and we are looking to welcome Nepal back to International Football after the tragedy which struck the Himalayan Kingdom."

The friendly will take place on 31st August 2015 in Balewadi Sports Complex, Pune and the kick-off will be at 7PM IST.
