AFC Cup 2015, Round of 16
South China(Hong Kong) 2-0 Bengaluru FC(India)
South China: Daniel McBreen(28th, 58th)

Bengaluru FC crashed out of the AFC Cup 2015 Round of 16 after a 2-0 defeat at the hands of South China in somewhat controversial circumstances. Both team played good attacking football and the scoreline was not the best reflection. South China were given a penalty in the first half when Curtis Osano's perfectly timed tackle was deemed as foul and the referee pointing to the spot. Australian striker Daniel McBreen stepped up and rifled the penalty kick into the top corner to give the lead to the host. Eugeneson Lyngdoh, Sean Rooney and Robin Singh all came close to grab the equalizer but could not find the back of the net. A cross from Che Runqiu dashed the Bengaluru FC's hope further as the man-in-form McBreen was at the right place to slot the ball home as he doubled his tally in the 58th minute. Sunil Chhetri came in as a substitute but the scoreline remained the same as the Blues can now have all the focus on the domestic league.
