Mohun Bagan defeated Shillong Lajong FC in an inconsequential match of the Hero Federation Cup 2014-15 played at the Tilak Maidan on Tuesday, 6th January 2015. While Mohun Bagan ended their campaign on a high with 5 points in 4 games, Shillong Lajong FC failed to gather any points from their full quota of matches.

Sporting Clube de Goa edged past East Bengal in a seven goal thriller in their final group match of the Hero Federation Cup 2014-15 played at the Nehru Stadium on Tuesday, 6th January 2015. The win meant that the Flaming Orange brushed aside East Bengal to finish second in the group behind Dempo SC. Victorino Fernandes' first minute goal was neutralized by Ranti Martins in the 6th minute when he converted from the spot. Dudu and Malsawmtulunga made the scoreline read 3-1 in favour of the Red and Golds. Anthony Wolfe however restored one goal back for Sporting in the injury time of first half. The pace of the game never really slowed down after the lemon break, with both teams attacking relentlessly. Victorino Fernandes scored two second half goals, thus netting a hattrick in the process to help SC Goa earn a memorable victory and qualify for semi-finals in the process.
