FC Pune City sign David Trezeguet as marquee player

Legendary French forward David Trezeguet has been signed up by Indian Super League(ISL) side FC Pune City as their marquee player. Trezeguet,36, is a household name in world football having won the FIFA World Cup in 1998 followed by European Championship in 2000.

The ex-Juventus and Monaco forward, was last in action for Newell’s Old Boys on loan from River Plate. He terminated his contract with the club on mutual consent. Trezeguet was an integral part of the golden era of French football, helping them win the World Cup(1998) and the European Championship(2000). The 36 year old forward, will spearhead Salman Khan's owned team, which is managed by former Napoli and Parma manager Franco Colomba.

FC Pune City has already signed the Italian duo of Bruno Cirillo(37) and Emanuele Belardi(36).The club has tie up with Serie A side ACF Fiorentina.
