Churchill Brothers Goa had finished second in the Group E with victories over New Radiant Maldives and Home United Singapore at the Fatorda Stadium Goa. A draw against Group winner's Persipura Jayapura at home and an away victory against New Radiant Maldives gave the Goan outfit a second place finish with 10 points.

Vissai Ninh Binh are the holders of the Vietnam Cup and finished at the top of the Group G table with 16 points and remained unbeaten in the round.

Since Head Coach Mariano Dias is in Japan for the Pro Licence Assignment, Assistant Coach Alfred Fernandes has taken charge of the coaching duties.

Alfred Fernandes sounded quiet confident about tomorrow’s match at a press conference which was held on Monday. He said "We have come to Vietnam to win. We will try to gain full points and register a victory in this match by displaying good attacking football."
"Our goal at the moment is to make it to the next stage which is the quarter finals of the AFC Cup."

Striker Anthony Wolfe said "We have all prepared well and will play with a positive frame of mind, and go out on the field with the believe that we will get all 3 points."
